Lucie, Tibor, and Richard have been suffering from depression for years. Their stories run parallel to that of Tomáš Páleníček, a leading Czech psychiatrist, who is conducting complex international research on alternative depression treatments. He investigates the potential of psychedelics in the Amazon jungle. There, the indigenous Hunikui tribe, guardians of ancestral natural medicine for centuries but now facing political challenges, welcomes the scientists. The researchers soon realize that where the limits of Western science end, indigenous medicine begins. The tribe finally shares its wisdom on nurturing mental health. The tribe's ancestral knowledge integrates with scientific exploration, offering hope for improved mental health not only for the depressed protagonists but for many.
