In large cities, the approach to public space is changing: people's willingness to express themselves artistically and intervene in its form is decreasing. The documentary film Public Service uses three artistic actions and one performative lecture to show how it is possible to "take the city back." Artistic interventions in the film are dynamically intertwined under the direction of Vladimír Turner, who has been involved in public space art for nearly two decades. The film's ambition is to serve as a necessary wake-up call, an inspiration, and a revival of free creative expression, especially in times of the ongoing climate crisis, when many people have already passively resigned themselves to public space as such.
