Monika (35), a successful doctor at the Liberec hospital, lives in a happy partnership with Lukáš. They are expecting a child, which she has wanted for so long. Her former husband Petr could not have children, which played a role in their breakup years ago. Now, however, they meet again. Their complicated emotional bond has never disappeared, despite belonging to the past, and Monika is well aware of the value of her current relationship. The film, devoid of major dramatic waves, is rather a layered reflection on female identity and its fullness – both in terms of emotions and in the social sphere, where the need for motherhood clashes with the demand for professional existence. In other words: can a person embody the feminine principle while also being the master of their own life?
