Based on the true story of the phenomenal Czech jazz pianist and composer Jiří “George" Traxler. The story of passion for jazz and a femme fatale intertwined with the absurdity and cruelty of fascism and communism which dominated Czechoslovakia during and after WW2. The film is set mostly in Prague, starting in 1939 and ending in 1950, when George, at the age of 38, emigrates to Canada, after 11 years of swing and secrecy, love and hate, trust and betrayal, fear and freedom.
