JAVARI is an exceptional Czech adventure expedition film that chronicles the return of two friends, Simon and Mirek, to the indigenous Matsés tribe, which lives on the Peruvian-Brazilian border near the Javari River. One of the most remote and least explored regions of our planet becomes the setting for an almost unbelievable story, as the pair of travelers set out on their own to find another isolated settlement of the Matsés tribe, lost somewhere deep in the Amazon. Challenging terrain, injuries, and dealing with dangerous situations are everyday companions in a world where any form of help is virtually non-existent. A significant point of the story is the fact that even in today's digital age, values such as love for nature, the importance of family, adventure, and friendship with a seemingly completely different culture still exist.
