Řezníček's delving look into the life and work of artist Alén Diviš (1900-1956). This subjective portrait of the painter's travels around the world highlights his creative moments. The director returns to crucial places in Diviš's life (France, Morocco, and the United States) and incorporates interviews with those close to him. The camera slides over the nooks and crannies of his apartment, always returning to the window, the aperture where his world ends and the heavens begin. Reminiscences of women's bodies, the places between his lovers - legs which smoothly transform into skulls - reminiscences of imprisonment in prewar France. America - a view of Manhattan bathed in sunlight. Postwar Prague behind the Iron Curtain - the hanged, bones. The film uses animation to brings the painter's work to life.
