Some of the best Czech animators transformed the legendary book of fairy tales from Jiří Marek into the form of an animated film. Each of the fairy tales is made using a different technique. The episode The Princess that Didn’t Laugh is animates using half-plastic technology. The second tale, The Accountant and the Fairy, uses classic puppet animation and it is entertaining for children and enlightening for fathers. The third part, The Fisherman is a classic, though its new interpretation in the world of wheels and motors is absolutely new and animated using a very uncommon technique of flat paper puppets in a real environment. The fourth episode entitled Vincent takes place in the near future. It is a story of faith that common sense will win over greed and the longing to be first no matter what. The Story of Antonín Kužílek is a live-action film, which forms the segues between the animated fairy tales.
