Westernstory is a romantic comedy set in a Wild West replica town in Boskovice near Brno. Turmoil ensues after the main character breaks both arms while rehearsing a new Western show. The principal finds the replacement all the way in Prague – popular TV star Marcel Toufar. He soon discovers that he has taken a job with the fanatics who prefer to live their roles instead of acting. The comedy is enhanced by anecdotes and problems of the villagers and their close neighbors. Gravedigger Mara steals goats in town so pyrotechnist Krocan cam respond fairly with a shot from a cannon. Cowboys Johnny, Knedla and Sam periodically chase the horses and then girls from the saloon where they rehearse the can-can. Despite despite the many seemingly intractable problems, the amusement park town's distressed owner, Jerry Walker, and his eternally optimistic director, the beekeeper Trubec, lead this peculiar bunch to a successful premiere. The tourist season in this little Western town is open and the new show's success is a matter or life or death for everyone.
