The House tells the story of an imperfect man’s dream of a perfect family. Imrich is building a house for each of his daughters on the family plot. When his elder daughter gets pregnant at the age of eighteen, Imrich throws her out, stops working on the construction of her home and concentrates all his energy in the construction of the home for his youngest daughter Eva. The innocent drawing of three houses in a single garden Eva made as a child has turned into a nightmare for the teenager. She is forced to work on the construction of her “gift.” Every day, every free minute. She rebelliously dreams of love and a world beyond the walls that her father is building for her. Eva’s scandalous affair with a married teacher begins the painful process of awakening in all the members of the family, who have long forgotten how to communicate with each other...
