The documentary film captures the personal life and artistic career of Czech actor Jiří Voskovec from his arrival in the United States in 1950 to his death in 1981. The film is narrated from the perspective of his younger daughter Gigi, who is trying to find out who her father, Jiři-George Voskovec, really was.
