The film tells an absurd story about absurd Central European history. The village of Kytlice was abandoned by its original German inhabitants after the Second World War. Today the only one who feels at home in Kytlice is a mentally disturbed painter from a local asylum. The asylum was builtt here in communist times when it was forbidden to speak of the three milion people who were forced to leave their homes just because they were German. This film is a colourful mosaic comprised of various stories, all linked by the fate of a village called Kytlice in the former Sudetenland.
