For 20 years, Marta Kubisova endured with dignity in opposition to the communist regime. The famous singer Marta Kubisova was silenced at the height of her professional career by the Russian tanks that had occupied Czechoslovakia in 1968. Her dramatic personal life intertwined with the political tragedy. The film looks at her career, private life, civic engagement, and the history of Czechoslovakia in the 2nd half of the 20th century.
