Father’s stroke sets off a tale of three days and two nights in life of one family. Both sons and their partners turn up at the parents’ house, located in a secluded area in the countryside. After a long time they are all together again. Time almost comes to a standstill; the reverential mood invites meditations about the fundamental questions of life. Inconspicuous, strange coincidences point their paths in unpredictable directions. This restrained film which relies on the audience’s active participation, brings spiritual dimension back to Czech cinema, which has nothing in common with tacky pseudo-mysticism.
